Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland
The No Ireland and Rep of Ireland put in a bid to host the 2023 UEFA U-21 Championship. Presently there are only 12 nations for the UEFA 2019 tournament.
The main reason why they want to host it the potential to make money. "A successful bid would have a massive impact on the economies of both countries," said IFA chief executive Patrick Nelson."Potentially 100,000 bed nights and €20m in terms of tourist spend. Almost 250,000 people attended the games in Poland last year. It should be a catalyst for new training pitches and facilities in stadia. "This bid indicates our desire to have positive relations and work together when we can for the good of football."
Italy is hosting the 2019 with 6 venues. Capacity range from 6,600 to 40,000.
If There are 6 stadiums, then I see Rep getting 3 stadiums and the North getting 3. Since the attendance should be about 15,000 for each game I see stadium of this size would be ideal.
